Overview

Weapons sit at the heart of both combat and progression in The Forge. Every weapon is created through the forging process, where ores are consumed and shaped into a randomized result based on the weapon type you choose. While the outcome may vary, each forge carries the potential to produce anything from a simple starter weapon to a high-value masterpiece.

Every forged weapon is defined by a combination of Damage, Attack Speed, Attack Range, Price, and Chance. These stats determine not only how the weapon performs in combat, but also how efficient it is for farming, boss fights, and selling for gold. Although basic weapons are easy to obtain, advanced upgrades, enhancements, and rune slots allow skilled forgers to push the same weapon far beyond its base potential.

Weapon families such as Daggers, Straight Swords, Katanas, Great Swords, Great Axes, Colossal Weapons, and Gauntlets each offer distinct strengths and trade-offs. Some favor speed and mobility, while others focus on reach, raw damage, or late-game power.

Use these tables to compare damage, speed, range, price, and forge chance when planning your build.

How to Read Weapon Stats

  • Base Damage shows how much a single hit deals before upgrades.
  • Attack Speed determines how often you can strike — faster weapons often deal more damage over time.
  • Attack Range affects safety and farming efficiency.
  • Price matters if you plan to sell weapons for gold.
  • Chance shows how rare the weapon is when forging that weapon type.
💡
A weapon with lower damage but faster attack speed can outperform a slower, heavier weapon in sustained combat.
