RACES

RACES

Intro

In Abyss, your Race determines your base stats and passive abilities. While Common races offer minor boosts, Legendary and Mythic races can completely change your gameplay with damage reflects, oxygen efficiency, and even revival mechanics.

How to Reroll Races

To change your race, you need Star Shards (the game's premium currency). You do not need to spend Robux; you can earn Star Shards for free by completing Achievements, completing quests, searching for and opening treasure chests, completing the bestiary and claiming the shards you get from catching different fish.

Where to Reroll: Click the Race Menu at the top of the screen.

Races Ranked(Teir List)

Tier Icon Race Name Rarity Comments
S+ Sea Angel MYTHICAL The best choice for fast players. It turns your movement speed into extra power and makes the fishing game much easier when you are low on oxygen.
S Kraken MYTHICAL The best for long-term play. It gives you more power the more you fish and provides a full oxygen refill if you accidentally go down.
A Shark LEGENDARY A powerful attacker. You hit much harder when your oxygen is low, and your jet-tube uses less air to get you back to safety.
A Vampire Squid LEGENDARY The master of staying underwater. It lets you refill your air tank just by catching fish, making long trips much safer.
B Crab EPIC A great defensive pick. It gives you a good mix of extra air and strength, plus a chance to block hits from angry fish.
B Anglerfish EPIC Excellent for farming money. It lights up the dark ocean so you can see better and gives you a chance to get double rewards from catches.
C Spirit RARE Perfect for learners. If you run out of air and "die," it gives you a small boost of oxygen so you can try to rush back to the bubble.
C Puffer RARE Good for defense. It gives you extra air and reflects some of the damage back to enemies that hit you.
C Narwhal RARE Helps with moving and carrying fish. It makes you slightly faster and lets you carry heavier hauls.
D Monkey UNCOMMON A decent early race that helps with speed and carrying items, but it's quickly replaced by better options.
D Fish UNCOMMON The best of the uncommon races. It provides a helpful mix of extra air and movement speed for early exploration.
D Cyclops UNCOMMON A basic strength booster. It helps you catch fish slightly faster but offers no help for staying underwater longer.
F Elf COMMON A very weak race. It only gives a tiny speed boost that isn't very noticeable during gameplay.
F Coral COMMON The most helpful basic race because of the 10% air boost, but you should replace it as soon as you can.
F Poop COMMON Gives a small strength boost but lacks any special abilities to help you survive in the deep.
F Human COMMON The starting race with no special powers. Reroll this immediately to get a better advantage in the game.
